In addition to standard shipments, EP Cargo also occasionally transports special, extra heavy or long consignments. The implementation of this type of orders is administratively and logistically demanding, but we really enjoy meeting new challenges.
Recently, we transported a special consignment: a giant transformer with a total weight of 435 tonnes. EP Cargo arranged the transport from the Croatian-Hungarian border to Přerov, Central Moravia. There, the transformer was transferred to a truck and arrived at its final destination, the Prosenice substation near Přerov, by road. It took 10 days for the transformer to get from the loading point to the destination.
